About Colin
Colin was born in Anne Arundel County and raised in Glen Burnie. Growing up, he saw firsthand how weak & complacent partisan leadership has affected our state for the worse.
The increase in crime, the abandonment of Christianity, major cuts to needed benefits, the rising costs of monthly bills, and other major issues are all too common in our community.
Colin is running to be our delegate in District 32 because he knows that the establishment-picked candidates absolutely lack the capacity, courage, and energy to fix the issues facing our county. Colin vows to fight ferociously against the government’s excessive sanctuary policies, against the stringent regulations that make homeownership an unattainable dream, against the lobbying groups that are sucking dry taxpayer dollars intended for academic achievement, and against the ongoing initiative to shut down efficient energy plants.
Colin is a fighter for the citizens of Maryland and Anne Arundel County. While current politicians serve (1) their donors and (2) illegals who don’t belong here, our people are being forgotten about. We need a representative who only has the interests of average residents at heart and who is strong enough to break through the anti-Maryland policies of our state government.
Colin McEvers is the one for the job. It’s our home!
The McEvers Platform

The Maryland government currently forces counties like Anne Arundel to comply with burdensome residential building standards related to insulation, windows, HVAC systems, electrical readiness requirements, and countless other costly mandates. These policies stem largely from Maryland’s adoption of the 2021 IECC Energy Code and a broader web of regulations that make the cost of housing in our district astronomically high.
As a young man who hopes to buy a home in the future without being buried under decades of debt, I understand the ever-present fear that homeownership may never be possible.
I will fight to reform unnecessary housing regulations, reduce bureaucratic obstacles to development, and restore the possibility of homeownership for Maryland citizens.

Maryland politicians continue pushing costly “green energy” mandates while residents are left paying the price through rising utility bills. As state leaders continue shuttering natural gas and coal plants in the name of fighting climate change, they ignore the reality that our energy infrastructure is nowhere near prepared to replace these dependable power sources.
Solar, wind, and battery projects face serious delays connecting to the existing power grid because the infrastructure required to support these initiatives has not been properly developed. Meanwhile, effective and reliable energy plants are being retired at a pace that is both unnecessary and irresponsible.
Maryland families should not be forced to bear skyrocketing energy costs because politicians want to grasp unrealistic environmental dreams. I will stand firmly in opposition to the ongoing crusade to close our traditional energy plants, because Maryland citizens deserve affordable energy.

Maryland politicians have made their priorities clear. Instead of focusing their full attention on the needs of Maryland citizens, they continue advancing policies that expand protections and benefits for illegal immigrants.
Over the past several years, lawmakers have pushed Maryland further toward sanctuary-state policies, making it safer for illegals in this state and for those who wish to migrate here. The influx of these illegals causes overcrowded public services, strained healthcare systems, and less working-class job opportunities for the Marylanders who are actually in need.
Public resources, taxpayer-funded services, and economic opportunities must prioritize heritage Marylanders, those who are citizens of this state, which my the Maryland government and its supporters simply do not support.
I will fight to repeal sanctuary policies that encourage illegal immigration into Maryland and support measures that strengthen enforcement, uphold the rule of law, and protect the interests of Maryland communities and families.

Despite massive increases in education spending across Maryland, academic outcomes continue to decline. Students are graduating high school with diplomas they can’t even read. Parents are expressing frustration that children are being pushed through grade levels before they are academically prepared, but are ignored at every turn.
The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future has already cost taxpayers billions of dollars, yet far too much of that funding has been consumed by administrative expansion, consulting programs, and a growing bureaucracy, rather than direct education needs.
Teachers and students must be the priority. Administrators, lobbyists, and politically connected organizations are enriching themselves off the backs of our students.
I will support legislation that cuts unnecessary administrative costs and redirects those resources toward teachers, classrooms, vocational education, school safety, and direct academic support for students.

In 2026, Maryland politicians passed the Youth Charging Reform Act, which reduces the number of crimes which juveniles can be charged as adults for. A vast majority of our states attorneys have pointed out that juvenile crime in Maryland has become a major public safety issue, and that reducing charges committed by violent teenagers will only worsen the problem.
Instead of being charged in adult court for committing egregious crimes against innocent Marylanders, these criminals will be charged in juvenile court, meaning less accountability and ultimately, less safety. By giving these offenders a slap on the wrist, our leaders are incentivizing increased crime rates.
I will fight as hard as I can to dismantle this piece of legislation. Maryland citizens have enough to worry about; being in constant fear for our safety out in public should not be a concern, but our government has made this a problem. I believe in Law & Order. These people need to be locked up, in adult jails, if they decide to harm our citizens.

District 32 is a diverse community made up of people from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds. Growing up in Glen Burnie and attending Corkran Middle School, I grew up in an area that was a mix of Whites, Blacks, and Hispanics.
I believe that all groups ought to be able to advocate for themselves and for their interests without shame – I’m not shy to say that, as a White man, I advocate for fellow White people who face hardship, hate, and aggression.
Too many White men are cowardly and afraid to do that, and that makes it unlikely that they’ll legitimately fight for all people. Think about it this way; if a man isn’t even willing to defend or stick up for his family, how can he be a leader for his community? He can’t.
I’ve received criticism for being a White advocate, but I don’t care. I plan to fight hard for every single Maryland citizen – White, Black, Yellow, etc – who lives in District 32, because we’re all in this together, and it’s our home.
